This was a great yard to begin with; a classic large yard with turf from sidewalk to sidewalk minus a few plantings in the 5' rock border along the foundation. However, there were a few areas that struggled and required additional TLC to keep up with the rest of the yard. Rather than continue pouring energy and water into these areas the homeowners decided to incorporate them into surrounding areas. By removing the grass, retrofitting the irrigation and installing some drought-tolerant plantings we were able to maintain a consistant look with the existing landscape while enhancing the already beautiful yard.
